Brief History of AE-FUNAI

Allow us to tell you some history of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State. Funai was founded by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The establishment was done during the time Ebele Jonathan former president of Nigeria in 2011 as part of a drive to expand access to higher   education.

It was named after the first elected Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, and is located in Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Since its inception, AE-FUNAI has grown rapidly. It offers varieties of admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs across several faculties. It is known for its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and research. IAe-Funsi aspires to turn out graduates who are equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

O’Level Requirements for Admission into Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI)

First of all , you must have your Secondary school results , whether is Neco , waec or Nabtec it is allowed. Before you will be eligible for admission into AE-FUNAI, aspirants must meet the following O’Level requirements:

• Minimum of Five Credits:Funai aspirants must have at least five credit passes in their O’Level examinations (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
• Relevant Subjects: The five credits must include this two subjects ; English Language and Mathematics. Then the other three subjects should be relevant to the course you have applied for.
• Single Sitting or Maximum of Two Sittings: Ae-Funai accept single settings and two times sitting if I level . What this means is that you can combine the two or use of your result . The credits can be obtained only in two sittings.
• Specific Course Requirements: We know that all course requirement are not the same . Some courses are competitive while the Some are not . Some courses may have additional specific subject requirements. Let’s say For example,  science courses require credits in subjects like Maths, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Then you must have credits in this subject . The same thing applies for art students
• Candidates should make sure that they meet both the general and specific requirements for their chosen course of study.

AE-FUNAI Cut Off Mark for 2024/2025 and above

AE-FUNAI Supplementary Forms

If you have got 250 and above then there is a high chance for you to study any course of your choice .

Aspirants or candidates who did not meet the departmental cut-off marks can apply for supplementary forms. Let me say it again To be eligible for the admission you must have at least 5 credits from Neco or Waec or any other approved results. Then you must score at least 150 to study other courses apart from Law and Medicine. Though you can study Engineering with 150 but it is good to have higher score before applying for engineering in Funai.

AE-FUNAI general Cut Off Mark

Now the general cut off mark in all courses is 150. Yes that is FUNAI cut off mark for gaining admission and it is 150. But make sure you have the scores we have mentioned above .
